Under the imposing walls of the Palais des Papes in Avignon, you will find the hotel La Mirande.
Their restaurant is famous for organising a table d’hôtes where guests eat around a big wooden table in the old kitchen whilst Chef Jean Claude Altmayer cooks in front of his audience. This happens on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings
There is also the opportunity to take part in cooking classes that they run.
The restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, but open for lunch and dinner Thursday - Monday from 12:00-13:30 and 19:30-21:30.
