Disabled Access for the Calvet Museum in Avignon
Becoming the first historical museum in Avignon with disabled access
The work, which began in September, should last another three months, at an estimated cost of € 400,000 and includes the installation of several lifts, an access ramp to the garden and lift access to all floors of the museum.
This addition to the Calvet Museum of Fine Art and Archeology is welcomed by many locals and will surely be a hit with tourists who will now be able to fully access the vast collection of the museum, regardless of their mobility.
Access will be through the back courtyard on the corner of rue Felix Gras and rue Basile, where the lift has been installed.
