All aboard in the Vaucluse
New bus lines & technology introduced across the region
Transvaucluse bus company have just announced some major changes to the bus services they operate in the Vaucluse Region which will benefit travellers and locals alike.
New services & longer scheduling
Starting this September, additional bus services have been added to link Cavaillon and Gordes, Apt and Avignon as well as a connection from Carpentras agropark to St Chamand terminus where the future tram will connect into the city centre. In July and August next year line 21 will start service and connect Isle sur La Sorgue with Coustellet. Some bus services are also starting an hour earlier in the day too, to help get people to their destinations or workplace earlier.
Real time bus tracking
Passengers with smartphones will be able to geo-tag their location and check in to see if their bus will be arriving on time. They will also be able to subscribe for SMS or email alerts and all buses will be fitted with WiFi going forwards.
A wider range of fares and tickets will also come into being, allowing, for example passengers to buy return tickets on more lines or packs of 10 tickets to save money.
