Aix nightlife gets axed

Certain zones of the city cut closing time by 90 minutes

Selected bars in areas in Aix centre will have their closing times cut by an hour and a half on a trial basis, starting on 15th September 2016.

It's hoped that cutting closing times from 02:00 to 00:30 will not only help reduce late night noise for local residents, but also the number of disturbances that the local police have to deal with.

The trial will take place for six months, and includes areas around the Hotel de Ville, Rue Mistral, Rue d'Italie, Place des Augustins, Place des Cardeurs, Cours Sextuis, Rue de la Verrerie, Place Rasmus and Rue Felibre-Gault.
