Le Petit Train d'Avignon

Offering a memorable journey around the historical city of Avignon

featured in Guides & tours

You will discover the city's most beautiful sites: the Popes Palace, classified as worldwide heritage by the UNESCO, the "Rochers des Doms", the old medieval streets and shopping areas, the town's picturesque quarters, and not to forget the famous "Pont d'Avignon"

The typical duration for a tour is 40 minutes and the commentary is available in several languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese and Russian.

The train runs every 30 minutes, from mid-March until the end of October. It still runs out of peak season months, but it's worth checking for days and times.

Who should go

This is the perfect way to orientate yourself with the city, or to entertain younger children. It's also a great way for those who are less mobile to enjoy the city, without having to walk far.

How to book

You can book online via their website, or you can drop by at the Place du Palais. During the summer months it can be especially busy so you may need to book in advance to ensure you can travel.
