Chestnut Festival, Revest du Bion

The chestnut is the star of the day here with a whole day of activities dedicated to this humble brown nut.

The day starts with a hike into the forests to collect chestnuts (a free shuttle is provided from the village) followed by a mass and procession through the streets of the village. Snacks and food at lunchtime are provided, followed by a country dance demonstration, concert, slideshow and prize raffle.

There are market stalls selling all kinds of chestnut products, cakes, jams and bread for you to taste and take home. The event starts at 09:00 so get there early to avoid missing out on the harvest.
